R&G Springs Company is a family-run small manufacturing facility located in Elgin, Illinois that specializes in custom wave springs. We have years of experience and custom tooling to manufacture precision wave springs that meet your exact design specifications.
We have spent over 30 years being the right-sized company for the niche industry that we service. As our customer base continues to grow, so do we. We have and will continue to expand our manufacturing process and the capabilities of our workforce to meet the changing needs of our customers.
Origins
Founded by Roman & Gama (Elizabeth) Hudec in 1986 as a modest job shop in Elk Grove Village, R&G has always been dedicated to providing superior quality springs through our hand-crafted workmanship. All of our products pass through multiple steps of quality control and are 100% load-inspected. That philosophy hasn’t changed in 30+ years!
We are a family-managed company where all of us have a shared corporate knowledge. The attention to detail, continuity of records, and service provided by a small manufacturer are something that cannot be replicated by a large corporation. With years of experience and extensive training, you can rest assured that every order is handled with care and attention is paid to every detail.
Our perseverance and attention to detail have helped this multi-generational family business grow into an ISO 9001 and AS9100-certified supplier.
Present
Now operating in a much larger facility than when we started, we continue to craft our legacy by investing in our employees and the next generation. Thanks to our efforts in the community, we have been able to accomplish more than we could have hoped for, and we look forward to furthering our ongoing and new partnerships!
Community
As a small manufacturing facility that runs with family at its heart, we are dedicated to creating and maintaining deep connections within both our local community and the manufacturing community. We support fellow small businesses and the local manufacturing community by turning to local businesses for sourcing materials, supplies, and services whenever possible. We are also members of the Tooling and Manufacturing Association based in Schaumburg, Illinois.
In addition to our participation in regional organizations, we enjoy maintaining strong relations with schools in the area and look forward to new partnerships.
Notably, R&G has partnered with Elgin Community College to meet the next generation of professionals where they are. Through ECC’s internship program, we provide our interns with real-world experience and one-on-one training in manufacturing, business, and hands-on applications.

R&G has been fortunate enough to retain many of the talented interns from ECC as full-fledged employees. As we continue to expand our operations, we remain committed to not only maintaining but also passing down our founding philosophy!
Looking Towards The Future
We have recently seen the return on our perseverance and efforts as a small business. As of 2024, we have been awarded several grants which greatly facilitated our ability to grow as a small business. These include: the Illinois Incumbent Worker Training Grant, the Kane County Lighthouse Manufacturer Grant, and the Kane County Expanding Talent Pipelines Grant.
With a combination of grant-funded training and capital investment in new machinery, we have been able to provide advanced training to both employees and interns alike, invest in efficiency and lean manufacturing, and continue to expand the capabilities of our company.
As we continue to grow, we look forward to providing more opportunities for internships and jobs to the local area.
Future
The next few years at R&G will be expansion years. We have been laying the groundwork for increased manufacturing capacity and look forward to the implementation of these plans. We have already proven ourselves as industry leaders in quality for the past 30 years. The next chapter will be one of growth, as our company increases its market share. We will continue to provide high-quality rotary seal components to the aerospace industry while branching into new markets where precision springs will improve process efficiency and provide increased safety.
